Last week American Idol picked the top 13 contestants, instead of top 12 like they were supposed to.
Out of the 24 remaining contestants, 5 girls and 5 boys were picked by the votes of the audience via phone and internet. Then the judges then picked 6 contestants they liked to sing one more time so they can add 2 more. However, once they were done, they decided to pick 3 more to add to the remaining Top 10.
Therefore, the Top 13 are: Casey Abrams, Naima Adedapo, Lauren Alaina, James Durbin, Ashthon Jones, Stefano Langone, Jacob Lusk, Scotty McCreery, Paul McDonald, Thia Megia, Haley Reinhart, Karen Rodriguez and Pia Toscano.

| I like most of the top 13. I think James Durbin, Pia Toscano and Lauren Alaina are our Top 3 this year. Let's see what happens. |
