Crystal Bowersox & Lee DeWyze , runner up and winners of season 9 have been both dropped by their record labels. Crystal sold 210,00 copies and Lee sold 168,000 copies. neither got any airplay.

Crystal says: “For not having any radio play and any great promotion, I think I’ve done pretty well on sales … I’m able to provide a good, comfortable life for my family, and that’s what I wanted out of it.”

She plans to release her next album independently.
